Park Beautification - Gardening and Clean up

Beautification is the heart and soul of Friends of Fort Tryon Park. In order to have a full schedule of events next season, we need additional Team Leaders. Team Leaders will assist Mike Klein, the Beautification Chair, in coordinating projects and supervising volunteers of all ages. It is a great way to really become involved in the park, get some of your favorite projects accomplished, meet your neighbors and make new friends.

If interested please contact Mike Klein at (212) 795-2300 or at mkleinnyc@rcn.com. IT'S ALL A MATTER OF TEAM WORK.
Spring/Summer 2008 Beautification Schedule

Please consider volunteering for one of the remaining beautification sessions -- you'll have the great satisfaction of contributing in a very real way to the ongoing beauty of the park and garden. You do not need to be a member to volunteer for the park, nor do you need any special skills.

For all sessions, meet at 10 AM at Margaret Corbin Circle, at the north end of Fort Washington Ave. If you come after 10 AM, visit our membership table, at the entrance to the park, for information about where the beautification crew will be working. You do not need to stay the whole time--even one hour of effort can make a difference. We supply all tools and work gloves.

Heavy rain cancels. In case of questionable weather, call Mike Klein,
clean up coordinator at (212) 795-2300.
  • Saturday, May 17th (It`s My Park Day)
  • Sunday, June 29th --> Broadway Promenade Clean Up
Meet at the entrance to Ann Loftus playbround, Broadway & Riverside Drive
  • July and August, please check our website in later in the season, or call 212-795-1388 for updates on volunteer opportunities...
