The entrance faces onto quiet, tree-lined 190th Street between Fort Washington Avenue and Cabrini Boulevard. One block south are the "village" shops; and one block north is Fort Tryon Park, home of the world-renowned Cloisters Museum, the medieval branch of the Metropolitan Museum of
Art.
Apartments range from large, airy studios to 3-bedroom units with 1 or 2 baths. Most apartments have 5 consecutive windows (63 sq. ft.) in the living room; others have triple windows (38 sq. ft.). Many have corner window nooks and panoramic river views. All have hardwood parquet floors over fire-proof concrete construction. In addition to RCN and Time-Warner cable TV, the Terrace has a high-speed RCN network cable. New electrical wiring to the apartments was installed in early 1999.
There is a 24-HOUR ATTENDED GARAGE in addition to convenient bus and subway transportation. The M4 Fifth Avenue bus and the M98 express bus stop on our corner. One block away is the IND express A subway which makes a 20-minute run to Columbus Circle. It connects at 168th Street with the IRT Broadway local 1/9 trains, and with the Sixth Avenue B and D express lines at 145th Street.
Our modern LAUNDRY ROOM is located adjacent to the attended lobby. Sixteen new top- and front-loading washers and twelve dryers were installed in June 1999. All machines are operated by a magnetic, refillable laundry card, eliminating the
inconvenience of juggling with coins.
The well-lit mail room also is near the lobby and features large mailboxes as well as a separate, secure box for parcels.
Tenants may rent space for bicycles in the bicycle room.
The Cabrini Terrace Owners Corporation is a financially sound housing cooperative formed in 1986. Maintenance is exceptionally competitive.
